Cynthia De La Torre
Community Health Worker Linn County
Promotora de Salud Condado de Linn

Cynthia is a first-generation college graduate from Oregon State University with a double Bachelor of Science in Psychology and Human Development & Family Sciences. She is grateful for her hometown, Albany, OR, which has served as a place of growth and recognition of the need for culturally specific community outreach. Growing up, it was the arts, community spaces, and organizations that helped Cynthia and her family access resources and encouraged her leadership and empowered her experiences as a daughter of Mexican immigrants. She is passionate about building capacity and community to help Latinx families and individuals lead to healthier, sustainable lives.

Cynthia Salgado
Administrative Assistant
Asistente Administrativa

In Mexico, I worked as a receptionist for a Doctor. My family and I have dedicated our lives to the trade from making and selling crafts to selling abarrotes. Aside from working at Casa Latinos, I have a small side business and I also make piñatas. I like working with the Latino community because we have many things in common and that reminds me of who I am and where I come from.
